Joseph has significant experience working with SEC accelerated filers inclusive of SOX compliance and their public filings (Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, IPOs, and other registration statements). He is also responsible for managing the coordination and delivery of all audit services which includes the simultaneous management of multiple engagements and engagement teams, other U.S. offices, audit support personnel (IT, tax, valuation, etc.) and international offices.
Additionally, Joseph is a partner in the firm’s Quality Control Department, where he conducts technical reviews and plays an integral role in developing internal firm standards to ensure engagements are conducted with the highest standards of quality and are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS standards.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Joseph was an audit senior manager at a global accounting firm where, in addition to his audit engagement responsibilities, he assisted the national office in several roles including the internal control over financial reporting resource center, engagement quality control reviews, reviewing consultations on complex accounting matters, and development and delivering of regional and national training programs. He also served on an audit methodology subcommittee, which assisted in the development of firm policies on significant matters such as auditing revenue recognition, group audits, accounting estimates, materiality, and sampling.
